We have just returned from our first ever visit to Rome, and we will certainly return and book in with Assisi again. The location is very close to the station, but tucked away enough that noise was not an issue during our stay in this vibrant area. All amenities and transport links very close by which made our exploring this beautiful city very easy. Our room had everything we needed for a comfortable and secure stay, and the air conditioning was a blessing for those of us unaccustomed to the warm weather. Staff even very kindly provided a fridge in our room during when they saw we had purchased some drinks. Which brings me to the main attraction of Hotel Assisi: the staff! Each and every single member of staff we encountered here throughout our stay were friendly, welcoming and helpful. They really made our visit relaxing and were always ready to provide assistance, even before our arrival by messaging about our room requirements and offering to arrange very reasonable taxi service for us from the airport to the hotel if it was needed. Once checked in they were excited to find out it was our first visit to Rome and provided us with a map and offered to help with local suggestions and advice. Embarrassingly, our Italian was very minimal but the staff were always incredibly friendly and patient whenever we spoke. Assisi staff: you are an asset to your lovely hotel and your warm greetings always made us feel welcome and at home in Rome. Thank you. ***For those visitors needing travel adaptors: Italy uses three types of sockets (C, F and L). We purchased a standard UK to Euro adaptor (E and F which is sometimes called a 'Schuko socket'), but these did not fit so do bear this in mind when visiting Italy. The sockets at the Assisi, however, did also have USB charging so we were fine with just those. I had a pair of hair straighteners that luckily had a Euro fitting inside the UK plug, these were a C and worked just fine.

I had an early morning flight and chose to stay near Roma Termini so I could have easy access to catching the train to the airport. I didn't have high expectations going in, however Hotel Assisi was one of the best stays I had in Italy. The hotel has a 24 hour manned front desk, who is available when you check in (I'm so tired of the locations with self-check-in or confusing WhatsApp conversations). Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. There is an elevator that takes you directly to your floor (again, something you don't recognize is precious until you stay in a few places in Italy!). Shower had excellent water pressure, with hot water. Bedroom was suitably furnished with well located electrical outlets. Despite the location (1.5 blocks from Termini), it was quiet and safe and I could sleep without noise issues. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic - good combination of croissants/baked goods, yogurt, fruit juices etc. Above average compared to what is provided at more expensive hotels. Any traveler who has not traveled in Italy before may find being impressed with front desk, lifts, water pressure, water heat etc. a strange thing to be satisfied with, but once you travel a bit in Italy, you will find that what North American tourists may take for granted is not necessarily that easy to come by on the other side of the water! In any event, I would not hesitate to stay at the Hotel Assisi when arriving to or leaving from Rome. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

we arrived by train from the airport and the hotel is literally 5 min walk( just make sure you exit the termini at the correct end! ) Hotel is very old hotel but it is spotlessly clean and rooms attended daily. The staff are lovely and very helpful. The location of hotel is perfect for trains or all the sights are walkable we walked everywhere ! colosseum about 20 mins make sure you have comfy footwear!!! There lots of little cafes and restaurants in all streets around the area ( much nicer than ones by main attractions… and cheaper!)

All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. They all spoke or attempted to speak English to me. The breakfast was a great spread of various options. There were many good eateries close by to include a Mexican restaurant which was very good.

The hotel near with termini station, just walking distance around 3 minutes. The staff very polite and friendly. The room very clean, there is no dust at all. The room was cleaned everyday
